Day 8 cleaning walls

Today I cleaned the walls of Bedroom 2, scrubbed the skirting boards and mopped the floor.

I bleached the walls in Bedroom 3, although from reading online the more conventional choice is just normal washing up liquid, but I thought that was the 'mustiest' room and bleach can kill any mould.

Finally the gas boiler man from next door came to have a look. He said the boiler is 20 years old and probably not very efficient! He said that the plate heat exchange is probably clogged up which may explain why the water is not that hot. An option could be to power flush the system but that is expensive.
Looks like the best option is to just live with it for a while or until it breaks and then install a new boiler (approx. £1500 depending on what we go for). He said if anything happens then just to call him as he lives next door. He was really nice and seemed to know what he was doing. He showed me the gas supply and the water in and out and he showed me how to refill the boiler so that the water pressure is at the correct level. The 'gas' smell from outside is normal, and all boilers do that apparently.
He showed me how to use the timer and we checked it worked and that the flame was blue, which is a good thing.

The lounge still smells of dog!!!

Tomorrow:
Bleach skirting boards in bedroom 3 and 2, clean on top of blue thing in bedroom 3.

Maybe paint bedroom 2 or kitchen? Can I paint with matt over silk?!
